Obituary for Nora Lee Whitten

Nora Lee Whitten, 93, of Fayetteville passed away April 18, 2019. She was born on March 1, 1926 to C.B. and Ruth King in Atlanta. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel Catholic church.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband George Whitten, Sr. and her parents. She is survived by her son, George Whitten, Jr.; daughter, Wanda Whitten; son-in-law, Chris Kunkel; grandson, Robert “Bob” Kunkel; sister, Mary Helton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
