Obituary for Violet Louise Rogers

Violet Louise Rogers, 80 years of age, passed away on May 25, 2019 at her home. She was born in Webster, Florida on October 24, 1938 to the late Ruby Bessie and Horace Jefferson Sparkman. Violet was a member of McDonough Road Baptist Church for many years. Her greatest joy and love of her life was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lois Peacock and her brother, Joe Sparkman. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lamar Rogers; her daughters, Sandra Hill (Marty) and Fawnda Cofield (John); her son, Wade Rogers (LaDonna); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Freddy Sparkman (LaVonne).


A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. David Chancey officiating. A private burial will be at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM -1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
